NB and SB Interstate 55 in New Madrid County Reduced for Pavement Repairs
SIKESTON— Northbound and Southbound Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
These sections of I-55 will be reduced, including:
- Northbound from mile marker 57 to mile marker 58.4.
- Southbound from mile marker 53.4 to mile marker 52.
- Southbound from mile marker 56 to mile marker 55.6.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Sept. 15 through Friday, Sept. 18 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Drivers should anticipate short, intermittent lane restrictions.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
