Arab League, OIC, Nineteen Other Nation Denounce Israeli Expansion in West Bank

(MENAFN) Türkiye, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and 18 additional nations strongly condemned recent Israeli actions to expand control over the West Bank on Monday.

In a joint statement, foreign ministers from Türkiye, Brazil, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and others emphasized that the moves—including reclassifying Palestinian land as Israeli “state land” and accelerating settlement construction—constitute a clear violation of international law, including UN Security Council resolutions and the 2024 Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice.

“These steps advance unacceptable de facto annexation, undermine peace efforts, and threaten regional stability,” the statement said. The ministers called on Israel to reverse the decisions immediately and respect international obligations, stressing that such actions jeopardize the two-State Solution and the viability of a Palestinian state.

The statement also criticized the approval of the E1 settlement project and other measures altering the demographic and administrative status of Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, as deliberate attempts to change the reality on the ground.
