Explosion Outside Moscow Train Station Kills Police Officer

(MENAFN) A traffic police officer dies early Tuesday after an explosion outside a railway station in Moscow, according to Russia’s Interior Ministry.

The ministry reports that an unidentified person detonates an explosive device near a traffic police vehicle outside Savyolovsky Station.

"During an inspection of the scene in the square near Savyolovsky Station and a review of CCTV footage, police officers determined that the perpetrator died at the scene," the ministry states, as reported by news outlets.

Two additional traffic police officers sustain injuries in the blast.
